Product Development Manager

We are looking for a strategic and technically strong Product Development Manager who will provide leadership across multiple Agile development teams, ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and has a proven ability to lead software engineering teams toward excellence.
Role Description
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Product Development Manager will:
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams, Solution Architects, UI/UX Designers, Scrum Masters, and Product Developers.
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade software products.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and software architecture governance.
- Oversee Agile delivery across multiple Scrum teams while ensuring sprint goals and release timelines are achieved.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA teams, DevOps, Security, and Operations to ensure successful product delivery.
- Champion innovation by adopting modern technologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Ensure software solutions meet security, compliance, scalability, and performance standards.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Drive engineering performance through coaching, mentoring, and capability development.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of software development experience.
- At least 3–5 years in a software engineering leadership or management role.
- Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience in enterprise software or financial services is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
The successful candidate should demonstrate experience in:
- Software Architecture and System Design
- Modern Programming Frameworks
- APIs and Microservices
- Distributed Systems
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure or similar)
- DevOps Practices
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Secure Software Development
- Agile Delivery Methodologies
- Technical Leadership and Engineering Governance
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Agile/Scrum Certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP or equivalent)
- AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or other Cloud/DevOps Certifications
